GLOBAL / RECORDS
START WITH THE RECORD.
Lineage is an evidence problem before it becomes an application problem. MGS traces civil, archival, parish, and historical record chains across changing jurisdictions.
DIRECT ANSWER
What kind of genealogy and record research can MGS coordinate?
MGS can reconstruct lineage, identify likely civil and archival repositories, research birth, marriage, death, parish, naturalization, census, military, migration, and other relevant records, and coordinate record procurement where appropriate. The objective is a source-controlled chain, not a decorative family tree.

Records that change the answer
The useful record may be in a civil registry, parish book, state archive, national archive, court file, naturalization record, passenger record, military file, cemetery record, or a later certificate that points backward.

Build the chain, not the legend.
Names shift. Spellings drift. Borders change. Dates conflict. One document can repeat an error from another. MGS treats genealogy as evidence reconstruction and records both support and uncertainty.
The goal is a chain another researcher, authority, or professional can follow.
Find the institution that actually holds the record.
Modern online databases are useful finding aids, but the controlling record may remain with a local civil office, church archive, regional archive, national repository, court, or other custodian. Record research therefore includes repository research.
A citation is not the same as a usable certificate.
Once the right record is identified, the project may require an official copy, long-form record, certified extract, authentication, apostille, translation, or another specific format. MGS separates discovery from procurement so the final file matches the next institution.
SOURCE / CHAIN
GIVE US THE LAST CERTAIN FACT.
A person, place, approximate date, photograph, certificate, or family account can establish the first research anchor.
